George Veazey Strong (b. March 14, 1880, Chicago, Ill.-d. Jan. 10, 1946), Major General in the U.S. Army, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1904. His World War II records includes commanding general, 8th Army Corps, head of Military Intelligence, and service with the Joint Chiefs of Staff in 1944 and 1945. He retired in February 1944.
